While Interface Design is my passion for work, I have many other passions! I believe it's important to have interests in other things besides work so as to help have a good balance in life. Below you'll see samples of some of those interests.

Me, my brother Charles, and my friend Jon Keigwin perform a bass trio!

  Classical Music

Though it's not my full-time career, music has been a part of my life from the day I was born, and I intend to keep it that way! I perform classical double bass with a number of orchestras in the Bay Area, including the Marin Symphony, the Fremont Symphony, and the UC Berkeley orchestra.

  Interface Design

Not everyone can pinpoint the precise moment when they became interested in their profession, but I can! When my dad took me to see Johnny Mnemonic, I was really struck by a scene where Keanu Reeves goes zooming around the internet of the future. It made me curious as to who decides how we interact with technology, whether it was with a keyboard, speech, or virtual reality gloves & goggles. I did a bit of research and found out there was a field called "User Interface Design," and the rest is history!
